Man Accused Of Violating Protective Order In Greenwich, Cops Say

The incident occurred just after midnight on Monday.

GREENWICH, CT — A 26-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on a charge of violation of a protective order on Monday after he was pulled over in motor vehicle stop in Byram, and the person who has the order against him was in the vehicle with him, according to Greenwich police.

Ismery J. Paul, of Auburn Street, was pulled over in the area of Byram and Richland roads about about 12:40 a.m. when an officer saw that Paul's vehicle had an expired registration, police said.

"Investigation revealed that the passenger of the vehicle had a full no contact protective order against the driver," wrote police. Additionally, Paul was not carrying a driver's license with him at the time.

In addition to the protective order violation charge, Paul was additionally charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to carry a driver's license.

He was held in lieu of bail of $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 1.
