Woman Injured During Assault In Parking Lot: Greenwich Police
A minor child was present during the alleged assault, police said. Police say the victim and accused knew one another.
GREENWICH, CT — A woman was injured during an assault that occurred in a Greenwich parking lot recently, police said. A Stamford man, who knew the victim, has been arrested, police announced. A minor child was present during the alleged assault, police said.
The incident occurred on July 5 in a parking lot on West Putnam Avenue.
"The victim reported that she was physically assaulted by Jose Rohena, whom she knows," police said. "During the alleged assault, Rohena threatened to do further harm to the victim and the victim's family."

Police said the accused also prevented the woman from calling 911. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, and a minor child who was also present was not injured, police said.
Police said officers investigated which led to an arrest warrant for Rohena. Police said the accused turned himself into police Monday is charged with risk of injury to a child, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an emergency call, second-degree assault, first-degree threatening and first-degree reckless endangerment.
