GREENWICH, CT — Police said a 21-year-old Stamford man, who ran from authorities after being spotted in a stolen car in April of this year, turned himself in to the Greenwich Police Department on Nov. 19.
According to an arrest report, Emory Jean-Louis turned himself in to the GPD on a warrant that charges him with second-degree larceny, interfering/resisting officers, illegal possession of a weapon in a car, possession with intent to sell amphetamines, and possession of marijuana.
Jean-Louis was able to post a $50,000 surety bond, and was released, the arrest report said.

In February of this year, a Ford Fusion was stolen from Cos Cob Avenue in Cos Cob, according to police. On April 5, an off-duty officer noticed the car being driven by a female with a male passenger on Sound Beach Avenue near Keofferman Road.
Police said the car was confirmed to be stolen, and was spotted again on Wescott Street. After stopping the car, the male, later identified as Jean-Louis, got out and ran, and the female driver stayed in the car and was detained, police said.

In the stolen car, officers found "a couple of large knives", as well as amphetamines and marijuana, Lt. John Slusarz of the GPD said.
Officers engaged in a foot pursuit with Jean-Louis through the yards in and near the Havemeyer Park area of North Mianus, police said. The GPD asked the Stamford Police Department for assistance and the use of their canines.
"We weren't able to catch him, but we were able to identify him," Slusarz said of how the arrest warrant for Jean-Louis was obtained.
At the time in April, Capt. Mark Zuccerella of the GPD said Jean-Louis was "wanted out of several Connecticut agencies for burglary and escape from custody." Zuccerella noted that Jean-Louis escaped from custody in New Haven in January 2021.
According to inmate information on the State of Connecticut website, Jean-Louis was convicted on burglary charges and sentenced in November of 2019 to a maximum of three years.
The inmate information notes that Jean-Louis is currently in custody at the Bridgeport Correctional Center.
