Man Charged With Larceny, Sexual Assault Of Minor: Greenwich Police
A 29-year-old Trumbull man faces a series of charges related to two separate incidents that occurred in February 2021, police said.

GREENWICH, CT — A Trumbull man faces a series of sexual assault and larceny charges stemming from two separate incidents in Greenwich that occurred in February 2021, according to police.
Eugene Izuazu, 29, was arrested by Fairfield Police June 10 on two warrants out of Greenwich, his arrest report said. Izuazu was taken to the Greenwich Police Department where he was charged.
On Feb. 9, 2021, police said Izuazu "engaged in inappropriate sexual acts" in front of a child under the age of 16 in Greenwich. He also made inappropriate advances towards another person, and had unlawfully restrained that person's movements, police said.

"Izuazu had also assumed the identity of another person while committing these crimes," police noted in an arrest report.
For this incident, Izuazu was charged with criminal impersonation; disorderly conduct; obscenity; third-degree sexual assault; fourth-degree sexual assault of a victim under the age of 16' and second-degree unlawful restraint.

The charges came with a $100,000 bond, police said.
On Feb. 19, 2021, police said Izuazu stole personal checks belonging to another person, assumed their identity and altered the amount on the checks, which were valued at $1,000.
Izuazu was charged with second-degree larceny; sixth-degree larceny; third-degree identity theft; and criminal impersonation. Those charges came with a $50,000 bond, his arrest report said.
Izuazu is scheduled to appear in court June 24.
