Man Found Dead In Greenwich During Rainstorm: Police

Police said the body was discovered near an unattended vehicle in Greenwich during a rainstorm.

GREENWICH, CT — A man was found dead Monday night in the area of Greenwich Point, according to police. The man is believed to be in his mid-seventies and his identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.

The body was discovered a short distance away from a car, which was left unattended with its doors open during a rainstorm, police said.

"The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner," police said in a statement, "however at this time there does not appear to be any foul play."
