Man Hit By Car, Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries: Greenwich PD
A pedestrian was seriously hurt after he was hit by a car on West Putnam Avenue on Wednesday, Greenwich police said.
GREENWICH, CT — A 41-year-old man was seriously hurt after he was hit by a car Wednesday night in Greenwich, police said Thursday morning.
Capt. Mark Zuccerella of the Greenwich Police Department said the accident occurred around 8 p.m. when the man was trying to cross West Putnam Avenue near the intersection with Western Junior Highway near the Pemberwick and Byram sections of town.
While crossing, the man was hit by a car traveling westbound. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, Zuccerella said. The driver of the car was not injured.

The Greenwich Police Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has more information is asked to call GPD Traffic Technician Roger Drenth at 203-622-8014.
