Man Shoplifts, Leads Police On Car Chase: Greenwich PD
Police said a man is accused of stealing from a store in Greenwich and leading officers on a car chase.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich man is accused of stealing from a store in town and leading officers on a car chase, police said. According to an arrest report, officers saw Charlee Rodriguez, 27, shoplift from a store on Greenwich Avenue around 5 p.m. on Friday.
The accused was also a suspect in other recent thefts that occurred at the store, police said.
Officers attempted to stop the accused's vehicle, but he fled south on Greenwich Avenue and led them on a chase, police said. Officers ended their pursuit on Interstate 95 for safety reasons, police said.

The accused later contacted the Greenwich Police Department and responded to their headquarters. He admitted to having stolen some items from the store and fleeing from officers, police said.
The accused was charged with sixth-degree larceny, engaging police in pursuit, interfering with an officer/resisting and traveling unreasonably fast.
