GREENWICH, CT — A New York man accused of stealing "a large amount" of pharmaceutical products from a Greenwich Avenue business was arrested Thursday, according to police. Officers responded to the 200 block of the avenue around 7:30 p.m. after receiving a report of an illegally parked vehicle, police said.
The vehicle was reported by an officer working an off-duty side job, who also noticed multiple people "exhibiting suspicious behavior consistent with retail theft," police said.
Officers arrived and located the vehicle, which was unoccupied and parked illegally in a different location nearby, police said. Officers also spoke with two people walking along the avenue and identified Jamaal Freeman, 34, of New York, N.Y., as the owner of the vehicle, police said.
