Manslaughter Charge For Drug Dealer In Fatal Greenwich Overdose
The overdose occurred in October 2017 in Cos Cob.
GREENWICH, CT — An arrest was made this month in connection with a fatal heroin overdose that occurred at a home in Cos Cob in October 2017, announced Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry.
Arrested on a warrant charging him with first-degree manslaughter was Henderison A. Vargas, 21, of Brooklyn, NY. He was apprehended in Brooklyn on Feb. 7 by members of the NYPD Fugitive Task Force and the Brooklyn North Narcotics Unit and extradited to Greenwich on Feb. 20.
The fatal overdose occurred on Oct. 27, 2017, when police were dispatched on a report of an unresponsive person in a Cos Cob residence. The identity of the victim was not disclosed.

"Upon arrival officers found a deceased male in one of the bathrooms of the home," stated Berry. "Initial at-scene investigation by detectives led to the belief that the deceased died from an overdose of narcotics."
Subsequently, it was discovered that the drug in question was heroin, and Greenwich detectives were able to develop Vargas as the suspect who sold the drugs to the victim.
