Meli-Melo Creperie Hosts Abstract Art Experience with Sholeh Janati & Wine Tasting

A portion of proceeds form this event will benefit the Greenwich United Way Sole Sisters.

Celebrated artist, Sholeh Janati www.sholehart.com), hosted an event at Meli-Melo Creperie (362 Greenwich Avenue) for Greenwich United Way Sole Sisters on Wednesday, March 29 from 6-8pm. Meli-Melo's Catering Chef, Nadia Ramsey, a.k.a "The Happy Belgian" provided hors d'oeuvre and wine was sponsored by Val's Putnam Wines & Liquors.

Janati led a special abstract drawing exercise at 7:00 p.m. that allowed attendees to unlock their creativity. A portion of proceeds from art sales during Janati's eight week show at Meli-Melo and special event benefited the Greenwich United Way women's initiative, Sole Sisters. "This event was a testament for how Greenwich businesses truly work together to support the community. Val's and Meli-Melo are long time supporters of local nonprofits and are household names in Greenwich. Collaborating to raise awareness and for Greenwich United Way was an easy decision" said Jeb Fiorita, owner at Val’s Putnam Wines & Liquors.

Wines that were served at the event were; Bella Mia - Pinot Grigio, Millenio - Prosecco, Rose de Loire - Rose and Trumpeter - Cabernet Sauvignon. Meli-Melo Creperie is a BYOB (bring your own bottle) restaurant that doesn't charge a corkage fee. Val's is offering special pricing for these wines to anyone who mentions Meli-Melo. Visit both locations, Val’s Putnam Wines & Liquors and Val's Fine Wines & Liquors of Glenville for in-store wine and spirits tastings every Friday and Saturday evening.
