CT Weather: Memorial Day Forecast Improves

After Sunday's dreadful weather we were due for some good news. Here are the new details on today's forecast and the rest of the week.

Good news, the initial forecasts were all wrong about Memorial Day. Initially, there was concern there would be rain in the morning and that the sky would remain cloudy all day. But the clouds will give way to mostly sunny skies later on Memorial Day and it will warmup considerably from Sunday's cold temps.

All in all not a bad day. In fact the next few days look good and then there is a chance for showers on Thursday and more rain and thunderstorms possible on Friday. Fog will be a concern during the Tuesday morning commute.

The National Weather Service says, "Skies should remain mostly cloudy until mid to late afternoon, after an upper level disturbance passes. After high pressure over New England weakens today, a warm front will then approach and pass through tonight into early Tuesday morning, with a cool moist onshore flow ahead of the front leading to fog development during this time, especially along the coast."

"After the front passes, a very warm and more humid day expected on Tuesday, with high temperatures well into the 80s in most places..."
