CT Weather: More Sun This Week, Memorial Day Weekend Rainy
Here's an early look at the Memorial Day Weekend forecast for Connecticut.

There is both good and bad news leading into the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The good news is that there will be several days this week when the sun is shining, and yes that has been a rarity lately, but the bad news is that the three-day holiday weekend features up and down weather and the chance for showers and thunderstorms.
It appears next Saturday is the pick of the three days, as sunshine is predicted for most of the day but clouds take over Saturday night into Sunday and rain is expected at times. As for Memorial Day, the Weather Channel is predicting cloudy skies and morning rain and temps in the low 70s.
Accuweather.com says, "Outdoor festivities during Memorial Day holiday weekend may be in jeopardy across the eastern and northwestern United States..." Showers and thunderstorms are likely along the East Coast during the holiday weekend, Accuweather.com predicts.

"....increased humidity and tropical moisture working up the coast, combined with an approaching cold front, can dampen later Saturday into Monday," according to Paul Pastelok, who is the AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist. "At some point, there will be several hours of steady to heavy rainfall for parts of the mid-Atlantic and southern New England."
As for the present time, skies will be clear tonight and temps will be in the 50s tonight. "A good deal of sunshine is expected on Monday along with near to slightly above average temperatures. Afternoon temperatures will climb mainly into the 70s, with some interior locations approaching 80. Clouds will begin increasing once again Monday night as a frontal system from the Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic states begins to lift north towards the region. Lows will range from the middle 50s to near 60.
