Metro-North Trains Resume Greenwich Station Stops: Update
MTA officials said New Haven Line train delays will continue into the evening Thursday.

GREENWICH, CT — A disabled train and damaged overhead wires near Cos Cob continued to delay trains along the Metro-North New Haven Line Thursday evening, including along the New Canaan and Waterbury spurs.
But MTA officials, who had announced that eastbound New Haven Line trains would not stop at the Cos Cob, Riverside or Old Greenwich stations this evening, now say that service is restored to those stations.
Eastbound trains have resumed stopping at Cos Cob, Riverside and Old Greenwich.

There will be no direct trains from Grand Central to New Canaan. Riders heading to those destinations should get off at the Stamford station.

Where trains are not canceled, delays are expected to last 20 to 30 minutes.

At about 11:15 a.m., officials at first said rail service would be affected for 20 to 30 minutes by the damage then quickly changed that assessment to "indefinite delays."
