Roads Closures Continue In Greenwich Due To Strong Winds: PD
Strong winds knocked out power to hundreds of Greenwich homes and businesses Sunday evening, and road closures continued on Monday.

GREENWICH, CT — Though power has largely been restored in Greenwich on Monday, portions of a couple of roads remained closed due to the continuing strong winds, according to police.
The following roads are closed Monday morning, Nov. 20, due to downed trees (expect delays through those areas):

- Stanwich Road between Stag Road and Carissa Lane for the next several hours
- Riversville Road is down to one lane at John Street
Eversource was reporting only seven Greenwich customers without power as of 9:17 a.m. on Monday.
Original story: Sunday's high winds have led to the temporary closure of several roads in Greenwich, and as of 7:32 p.m., 561 Eversource customers in town were without power, according to the utility company.

Portions of Riversville Road, Old Mill Road, Thunder Mountain Road and Mohawk Lane were closed into Sunday evening, according to police.
Eversource crews and the Greenwich Tree Department were on scene and working to restore power and reopen the roadways.
