Music at Round Hill: The Many Sides of Love

Vocal Solos and Ensembles from Opera to Broadway, Friday, November 4 at 8 P.m.

Round Hill Community Church invites you to The Many Sides of Love: Vocal Solos and Ensembles from Opera to Broadway, Friday, November 4, at 8:00 p.m. Selections from L’Elisir d’Amor, La Bohème, Fidelio, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, South Pacific, The Secret Garden, Sweeney Todd, and Carousel. Performed by the Round Hill Quartet: Risa Renae Harman, soprano, Jenna Hintz, soprano, Patrick Hogan, tenor, and Scott Tomlinson, bass, with Christopher Cooley, piano.

Risa Renae Harman is a frequent recitalist and oratorio soloist, appearing at the National Cathedral, Alice Tully Hall, David Geffen Hall, Trinity Church, and Weill Hall. Engagements include Samuel Barber’s The Prayers of Kierkegaard at the Kennedy Center, Dorine in Tartuffe with Lake George Opera, and Artist-in-Residence with Bay View Music Festival. Opera companies with whom she has sung include New York City Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, and Glimmerglass Opera.

Jenna Hintz, graduate of Boston University’s Opera Institute and Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Illinois, was a young artist at the Chautauqua Opera Studio. Currently she is pursuing a performing career and maintains a private voice studio.

Patrick Hogan has performed a wide range of roles with renowned companies, such as Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Chautauqua Opera, New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and Springfield Regional Opera. Formerly a baritone, Patrick began his tenor career with the role of Lenski in Eugene Onegin at Union Avenue Opera Theatre.

Scott Tomlinson completed his vocal studies at the University of Texas with a M. M. in opera performance. Since then he has performed on the stages of Dayton Opera, Edmonton Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, and is currently a member of the Metropolitan Opera chorus.

Christopher Cooley has played with various instrumental and vocal soloists in five continents, as well as Alice Tully Hall and Carnegie Hall. He is an accomplished arranger, orchestrator, and composer, and is the Director of Music at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Plains.
