The Nathaniel Witherell Announces Key Leadership Appointments

John Mastronardi, Executive Director of The National Witherell, announced today the appointment of two seasoned healthcare executives to fill critical roles at The Nathaniel Witherell, the highly rated skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation facility owned and operated by the Town of Greenwich. Nadia Benson, RN, has joined as Director of Nursing Services and Nunzio Raimo takes on the role of Director of Financial Operations. Both assumed their new positions in July.

Nunzio’s impressive financial background and familiarity with the intricacies of healthcare organizations will be invaluable in helping the Witherell navigate a successful financial future.”

Nadia Benson, RN, joins the Witherell from Five Star Premiere Residences of Yonkers, which is an Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care facility where she served as the Director of Resident Care. Her responsibilities encompassed leadership and management of the Resident Services Department, which includes nursing, social services, scheduling and rehab. She brings a wealth of clinical and operational knowledge to the Witherell along with experience in developing and implementing new policies and procedures, plans of corrections in response to annual DPH health surveys, departmental budgeting and change management. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Concordia College.

Nunzio Raimo has held several top positions at healthcare organizations, most recently serving as Manager of Finance at White Plains hospital. He has also held financial management positions at North General Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center. He brings extensive experience in health care finance and accounting to the Witherell, including developing annual operating and capital budgets, monthly budget reporting, financial planning, forecasting and analysis. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Iona College.
