Neighbor to Neighbor Turkey Giveaway

On Thursday, Neighbor to Neighbor will distribute 500 donated turkeys to local families.

The turkeys are being donated by Kings Food Market, St. Michael’s Church, and the Connecticut Food Bank. Additional food to complete a Thanksgiving meal will be donated by Berkshire Hathaway. Those receiving turkeys will be Neighbor to Neighbor clients who are not receiving a holiday basket from the Town of Greenwich Department of Social Services.

The distribution will be at Christ Church Greenwich, 248 E. Putnam Ave. Because Neighbor to Neighbor does not have adequate freezer space to accommodate 500 turkeys, they will be distributed beginning at 10 a.m. Turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible clients.
