New Assistant Headmaster Appointed At Greenwich High School
An educator who has spent her entire career within Greenwich High School has been appointed as the school's assistant headmaster.
GREENWICH, CT — Superintendent Toni Jones announced Monday she has appointed Dana Tulotta as assistant headmaster at Greenwich High School. Tulotta will begin her new position on July 1.
According to the announcement, Tulotta most recently held the position of Folsom House Administrator at the high school. In her new position, she will replace Richard Piotrzkowski, who is retiring at the end of the 2019-20 school year. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
"We are excited that Dana will be assistant headmaster at Greenwich High School," Jones said in a statement. "She's already been a strong leader on campus as Folsom House Administrator, working closely with students and staff to develop strong relationships to provide guidance and leadership. She also took on many of the responsibilities required of this role in her time as an interim assistant headmaster, and we know she will continue this great work for the entire Greenwich High School community."

As both a teacher and an administrator, Tulotta has spent her entire career within Greenwich High School. She began her career teaching a variety of math courses for eleven years before becoming the program administrator for mathematics and the Folsom House administrator.
As house administrator, she oversaw approximately 540 Folsom House students and 60 staff members. As the program administrator for mathematics, she led the school's mathematics department in budget management, curriculum development, staff hiring and more.

Tulotta spent the 2018-19 school year serving as interim assistant headmaster, where she utilized skills and expertise required of her new role, including helping to maintain the school budget, teacher evaluations, building the school's master schedule and more.
"The Greenwich High School community has been my second family since I started as an educator in the fall of 2000," Tulotta said in a statement. "I am both honored and excited to continue to work with our students, staff, and families in a new capacity."
Tulotta holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Fairfield University, a master's in special education from the College of New Rochelle and completed a sixth year degree in educational administration at the University of Connecticut.
She is a 2007 Greenwich distinguished teacher and a member of the CES Mathematics Administrator Council among other leadership and committee roles.
