New Details Released In Armed Carjacking In Greenwich: Police
Police said the victim was specifically targeted and not chosen at random by the suspects.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police on Monday released new details in the armed carjacking that occurred in town over the weekend.
The carjacking occurred in the area of Clapboard Ridge Road and Khakum Wood Road at approximately 9:45 a.m. on July 14 when a man driving a BMW X3 pulled up to the front gate at Khakum Wood Road and black four-door Acura TLX pulled in behind, according to police.
Two men wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts got out of the Acura and displayed what appeared to be a handgun and took the victim's cell phone and the BMW, police said, noting there is no evidence that any shots were fired despite calls to the department reporting gunshots.

"The victim in this incident was specifically targeted while he was traveling out of state and was not chosen at random by the perpetrators," police said in an update Monday morning. "The suspect’s followed the victim back to Greenwich and committed this crime."
Police said the last known location of the two vehicles involved was in the area of Yonkers, N.Y.

Police described one of the suspects as Black or Hispanic, with a thin build in his late teens to early 20s, dressed in all black, including a black balaclava and black sneakers.
The second suspect was a Black or Hispanic man of stocky build in his late teens to early 20s, also wearing black clothing, police said.
This is an ongoing investigation, and police said there is no threat to the public at this time.
