New Digital Platform Allows Greenwich Residents To Learn About Trees
Greenwich has announced the launch of its new TreeKeeper Program.
GREENWICH, CT — The Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department has introduced the TreeKeeper Program, a digital platform aimed at providing residents with detailed information about the town’s tree population.
The initiative offers public access to a comprehensive inventory of trees located along the town’s rights-of-way, as part of Greenwich’s broader commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
The TreeKeeper platform features a user-friendly interface that allows users to explore data such as species, size, location, and the ecological benefits of individual trees. The tool is intended for a broad audience, including students, environmental advocates, and residents interested in learning more about their local urban forest.

"The TreeKeeper Program helps residents better understand and appreciate the natural assets that surround them every day," said Greenwich Tree Warden Dr. Greg Kramer. "Trees provide shade, improve air quality, manage stormwater, and contribute to the town’s beauty and biodiversity. This program brings that information to your fingertips."
Town officials are encouraging residents to explore the new resource and gain a greater appreciation for the trees in their neighborhoods.
