New Entrance Permits Needed For Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility

Residents will soon need to display the new permit in their vehicle when visiting the Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility in Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — Saturday, July 1, marks the first day residents will be required to display the new entrance permit in their vehicle when visiting the Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility in Greenwich.

The permit can be easily ordered online through the Greenwich Department of Public Works section of the town website, or via mail. Residents with the permit have access to Holly Hill — also known as "The Dump," for the entire fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

For a fee of $25, residential permit holders can dispose of their garbage refuse, recyclables, yard debris, construction demolition materials, and other recyclables at the Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility for the entire fiscal year.

Additional fees will be applied to cargo-type vehicles or vehicles pulling a trailer with chargeable materials such as organic waste and/or construction demolition materials.

The permit hang tag must be displayed in the vehicle the entire time while at the facility.

The facility is located at 4 Holly Hill Lane and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
