HARTFORD, CT — While Fox 61's Lorenzo Hall has enjoyed his time covering Connecticut over the past three years, sooner or later, mom always wins.
"For the last three years, my mom has asked at least once a week, 'When are you coming home to [Washington] DC to do the news?'," wrote Hall on his Facebook page Wednesday.
Soon his mother will get her wish as the popular 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscast anchor leaves Fox 61 to re-join WUSA-TV, one of the early stops in his career.

"My heart is in DC!" Hall added. "I’m so excited to cover news in a community for which I care deeply, with the many wonderful journalists at Channel 9."
Fox 61's loss is WUSA's gain, as Hall is a six-time Emmy winner, who has also been recognized for his reporting and writing with a regional Edward R. Murrow award, according to the Hartford station.
