GREENWICH, CT — With spring just a few weeks away, Greenwich residents can begin to think about warmer days ahead. And what pairs better on those days than some delicious ice cream?

On March 26 at 11 a.m., Cups n' Cones Of Old Greenwich will hold a grand reopening event at 235 Sound Beach Ave. The business, formerly known as Rosie's Frozen Yogurt, has been undergoing renovation and remodeling since January.

Old Greenwich residents Anna Buzik and her husband Alexander bought Rosie's last May from Steve and Sindy Steinberg, a local Cos Cob family, who ran the frozen yogurt shop for about eight years.

Anna decided to rebrand the business and add to the menu. Rosie's officially closed at the end of January.

"It's a colorful, happy, sweet place," Anna said of the new space. "When you walk in, it's a place where you just want to smile.

Customers can expect to find the same frozen yogurt flavors they came to know and love under Rosie's, to go along with 12 hard-scoop ice cream flavors like old fashioned vanilla, mint chocolate chip, chocolate, strawberry, sea salted caramel truffle and campfire s'mores, among others. Customers can take home quarts and pints.

Milkshakes will be available in any flavor. There will also be ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, and even European-style crepes. All ice cream flavors and frozen yogurt products are kosher and most are gluten free. There will be several dairy free options as well.

The shop can be rented out for parties and celebrations.

Anna hopes the new and improved ice cream and dessert shop can bring the community together.

"I think it's just a wonderful meeting place where you run into people, go on a date night, or simply take your whole family out for ice cream any day of the week at any time of the year," she said. "We want to give back to the community by offering more than what we had before."

Anna has a background in international trade finance, but she jumped at the opportunity to purchase Rosie's about a year ago.

After all, the slogan for Cups n' Cones of Old Greenwich is, "Life is better with ice cream."

"I have two kids (Nathan, 9, and Leah, 7) and I know that this is what makes them happy and this is what made me happy growing up – going to an ice cream shop," she said. "When this opportunity came up, it was the right decision to move forward. It just felt right."

Cups N' Cones of Old Greenwich will be open Sunday-Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
