New Season At Tod's Point Sailing School Set To Begin
The school will soon begin its fourth season serving the Greenwich community.

GREENWICH, CT — The arrival of Memorial Day Weekend means another season for Tod's Point Sailing School in Greenwich.
The school will begin its fourth season serving the Greenwich community on May 24, and it will operate through Labor Day.
Volunteers Bill King and John Kantor stepped in and started Tod's Point Sailing School in 2022 after Greenwich Community Sailing left town. To date, the program has served 1,042 junior sailors, 382 adult sailors, and provided 3,286 hours of boat rentals and 329 hours of private sailing lessons, according to King.

Returning this year are several US Sailing-certified sailing instructors and support staff made up of returning college and local high school students.
Memorial Day Weekend will feature sailboat and paddlecraft rentals and private sailing instruction. Reservations can be made in advance. The fleet consists of Zests, Quests, Catamarans, kayaks and paddleboards.

Rentals and private lessons will be available daily through Labor Day.
Scheduled classes will begin June 1 and include a variety of classes for juniors and adults.
Junior classes are scheduled on weekdays with two-week "Core" courses and one-week "Just For Fun" courses.
There are four progressive levels of Core courses; Sailing One through Sailing Four.
Just For Fun courses cover various activities that include paddling, Catamarans, racing and a Tera Bites course for the youngest sailors ages 8 and 9.
Adult courses are held on weekends, although the school offers a few adult weekday classes in June.
Adult Core classes run for two consecutive weekends each and are also progressive starting with basic sailing designed for first-time sailors, and then moving up through intermediate sailing and advanced sailing.
Adult family courses are one weekend courses and include Catamaran sailing and paddling.
All course registrations may be made online. Rental and private Lesson reservations can also be made by phone or email.
