The state DOT has provided a construction update regarding ongoing nighttime bridge maintenance on I-95 in Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — The state Department of Transportation has provided a construction update regarding ongoing nighttime bridge maintenance taking place on Interstate 95 in Greenwich. Work is scheduled to take place on both I-95 north and south until Nov. 1, according to a statement from the DOT.
The project consists of drainage cleaning to various bridges on the interstate between Greenwich and New Haven. The work is included in the DOT's 2019 bridge maintenance program, with cleaning being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

- Drivers can expect a moving operation with various lane closures on I-95 north and south between exit 2 (Delavan Avenue) in Greenwich and Exit 50 (Woodard Avenue/Lighthouse Point) in New Haven.
- A moveable sign pattern will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
- The regular work schedule for this project is from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday-Thursday.
- Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
- Drivers are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
