Nor'easter Leads To Flooding Worries, Power Outages: CT Weather
Power outages in Connecticut have climbed to around 3,500 as of Saturday afternoon.

More than 3,500 Connecticut residents are without power Saturday afternoon as a Nor'easter hammered the immediate coast with heavy rain and wind. A Coastal Flood Warning has been cancelled as of 3 p.m. for the coast of Fairfield and New Haven counties. A Coastal Flood Advisory has also been cancelled for the coast of Middlesex and New London counties. The National Weather Service says small hail was spotted in New Haven County this morning.
Eversource is reporting 3,500 outages including several hundred outages in Bethany, Ridgefield, Durham, Granby, Litchfield and Tolland.
In a 3:30 p.m. update the National Weather Service says for the coast of Fairfield and New Haven Counties that, "Water level have peaked this afternoon with water levels expected to subside below flood levels through 4 pm. Localized minor coastal flooding is possible during times of high tide tonight.

* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Water levels are expected to recede below minor flood thresholds through 4pm, but standing water may still remain across flooded roadways and properties. Brief minor flooding of the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline possible tonight.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Wave impacts along the shoreline will decrease through the afternoon as water levels recede."

[11:40 am Saturday] Tidal flooding is also a concern along the shores of the Western Long Island Sound and SW CT coast. Widespread minor to moderate flooding is forecast of vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline High tide is generally 1 to 2 pm for these locations.
