NY Man Stole Thousands In Merchandise On Greenwich Ave., Cops Say

The police investigation began in January.

GREENWICH, CT — A 40-year-old Mt. Vernon, NY man was arrested by Greenwich police this week in connection with the alleged theft of more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from an unnamed Greenwich Avenue retailer, according to authorities.

Joshua Michael Spillman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday on charges of first-degree larceny, organized retail theft of more than $10,000 and conspiracy. He was being held at a correctional facility in Westchester County and was extradited back to Greenwich for processing.

According to Greenwich police, Spillman allegedly stole the unidentified items on Jan. 15. He was developed as a suspect following an investigation, the details of which were not disclosed.

Spillman was held in lieu of bail of $150,000 and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 24.
