Obituary: Giovanna Marrone, 84, Longtime Greenwich Resident

Giovanna Marrone, 84, a long-time resident of Greenwich currently living in Stamford died on November 23, 2023 following a lengthy illness.

Giovanna was born on November 30, 1938 in Ozieri, Italy. Giovanna was retired from over 30 years in the restaurant business, Raimondo's in Port Chester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Raimondo, her sister Angelina “Zia” Mandras and her son Salvatore. She is survived by her three children Antoinette Syrotiak (James) of Stamford, daughter Giovanna Repaci (Vincent) of Stamford and son Raimondo Jr. (Carmen) of Greenwich as well as 6 grandchildren and step grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at St. Roch's Church, Greenwich, CT. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
