Obituary: Kay A. Kosnik, 78, Longtime Greenwich Resident

Kay was rooted in her love for her family.

Kay Kosnik, longtime resident of Greenwich, CT and Stuart, FL passed away on May 25th.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Clement and Marcella Chirpich. She graduated from Marquette University, BA and Hunter College, MA. Kay’s life was filled with an eclectic range of interests. She loved the arts, design, color, fabric, and architecture. Playing golf, pickleball, and kayaking were favorites as well as just walking the beach searching for sea glass. You could usually find her in her beautiful gardens amidst her latest plantings and new beds. Most of all she was rooted in her love for her family. She sparkled at the time she spent with her children and eight grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Kosnik, daughter Jennifer, and husband Jason Graham, and sons Edward, and wife Kristin Kosnik, and Paul, and wife Renee Lewis, and seven granddaughters Chloe, Lily, Lucy, Ella, Greta, Maggie and Quinlyn, and one grandson, Luke.

Friends are invited to calling hours on May 31st from 4:30 - 7:30 pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on June 1st at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT.
