Obituary: Lea Christiano, 100, Of Cos Cob

Lea Christiano, 100, of Cos Cob, Connecticut passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 11, 2022 at Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home.

Lea was predeceased by her husband Vito Christiano. She is survived by her four children, Lawrence (Katherine), Joseph (Cathlene), Marie Henderson (Mark), and Michael, 9 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Throughout her long life, Lea enriched the lives of her family and friends with home-cooked meals, baking cookies, and lots of love and laughter. In her free time, she crocheted blankets for Greenwich residents in need and adored animals, music, and dance. Lea's entire family is grateful for the time they had with her and find comfort in the impact she's made on their family and the community at large.

The family will be celebrating Lea's life privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nathaniel Witherell Recreation Department, whose positive attitudes and creative programs enriched Lea’s life and meant a great deal to Lea’s family.
