Obituary: Margaret Mary Sandor, 79, Of Greenwich

Margaret Mary Sandor went to Heaven on April 21st, 2023. Born Feb. 16th, 1944 in Greenwich, Ct to the late Elizabeth & Robert Sharp. Margie was a lifelong Greenwich resident. She graduated St Mary’s Catholic High School and went on to work at Fawcett Publications, as well as legal secretary in a law office in her early career before getting married and having 4 children. She later worked at Grand Union for a number of years.

Margie was a quick wit, had a great sense of humor, a strong artistic ability and was a voracious reader. Relaxing to her, was lounging outside in a chair in the sunshine with her feet up reading a good book.

She is survived by many family and friends as well as son Steve (Rhonda-deceased) of Cos Cob, her two grandsons Steve & Henry of Cos Cob, as well as daughter Peggy of Monroe. She was predeceased, by her parents, brother, former husband Steve, daughter in law Rhonda and daughters Mary Danielle of NC and Celine of Connecticut.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please get together and celebrate life, “have a little fun”, “share a few laughs” as she would say. She loved animals, so volunteer or donate to a well chosen cause. Additionally, since she loved gardening, the outdoors and wildlife, please plant native flowers, shrubs and trees to support the wildlife.
