Obituary: Mary Ellen Monahan Fahy, 86, Of Greenwich

Mary Ellen Monahan Fahy, 86, passed away peacefully at Greenwich Hospital on July 10, 2021. Born in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Martin Monahan. She was predeceased by her husband, Greenwich Police Lt. James Fahy and their beloved son, James Joseph Fahy, Jr. She is survived by her beloved sister and best friend, Penny Monahan. Special thanks to Dr. Marcus Mayus for his kindness and support during Mary Ellen’s illness.

Calling hours on Tuesday, July 13 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Fred D. Knapp & Son, Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, July 14 at 10 A.M., St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.
