Obituary: Robert E. Wilson, 81, Longtime Greenwich Resident
Bob devoted much of his time serving the community he loved so much.

Robert “Bob” Edward Wilson, longtime resident of Greenwich, Connecticut, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023. He was 81 years old. Born in Greenwich, he was the son of Ruth and Edward Wilson. He attended Greenwich High School, then went onto Allegheny College in Pennsylvania. He received his Masters in Business at New York University and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was employed at Price Waterhouse, Paul Hanson and ended his career as Chief Financial Officer of the Juran Institute.
Bob devoted much of his time serving the community he loved so much, volunteering at the Hill House, The United Way of Greenwich and the Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center. As a young man, he was an avid runner and later in life developed a passion for gardening. He spent many happy hours at Tod’s Point sipping red wine with his wife Janet by his side. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his two granddaughters.

He is survived by his mother Ruth P Wilson, wife Janet Wilson, his son Marc Choate Wilson (Kathleen Wilson), and granddaughters Eliza Wilson and Margo Wilson.
