Obituary: William A. Dylewsky, 80, Of Greenwich

William was known for his humorous never ending stories, silly dad jokes and always enjoyed spending time with his family.

William Alexander Dylewsky, 80, a resident of Greenwich, CT, passed away on October 2, 2023.

William was born on July 13, 1943, in Stamford, CT. The son of the late Nicholas Dylewsky and Anna Samson Dylewsky. He graduated from Stamford High School and the University of Bridgeport.

William was a partner in Dylewsky, Goldberg & Brenner, where he worked as a Certified Public Accountant. He was a professor at Norwalk Community College where he was passionate in teaching accounting. He enjoyed sailing, driving his MGB around town, golfing, and working on numerous projects in his barn at his second home in the Catskills. He was known for his humorous never ending stories, silly dad jokes and always enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was actively involved in the Jaycees, the Kiwanis Club and Greenwich Scholarship Association.

William is survived by his wife Naomi, his daughter Deborah Smeriglio (husband Mark), and his sons Daniel (wife Svetlana), and Matthew, and his granddaughters Jenna, Sara, Alyssa Smeriglio and Elisabeth and Victoria Dylewsky.

William was predeceased by his brothers, Nicholas and Andrew.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 9th at 10:30 am at Northeast Community Church, 185 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Burial will be private.
