Attorney Thomas Colin Named Member of Advisory Board of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Certified Financial Litigators

Thomas D. Colin has been named to the Advisory Board of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Certified Financial Litigators (AACFL). Attorney Colin is a named partner in the Old Greenwich, CT law firm of Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg P.C.

The American Academy of Certified Financial Litigators is a nation-wide organization dedicated to enhancing the legal profession through advanced financial education. The AACFL provides its member firms with customized training in the financial aspects of litigation including accounting, taxation, investments, valuation, forensics and compensation. They award the CFL™ certification, which is a designation to practitioners who receive the Academy’s specialized training and have passed their CFL™ examination.

In his role as a member of the Advisory Board of the Connecticut Chapter of the AACFL Attorney Colin will plan the formation of the chapter, organize upcoming meetings and recruit attorneys who are qualified for membership.

Attorney Colin heads the Alternative Dispute Resolution practice group at Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg. He also handles all aspects of traditional client representation for this family and matrimonial law firm including litigation. Attorney Colin is a former Superior Court Judge who handled family and criminal matters including those that fell under the domestic violence criminal court docket.
