Searching for a tasty alternative to the usual burgers, hot dogs and steak for your Memorial Day cookout menu?
Fish monger Tony Norado, who’s owned Bon Ton Fish for 26 years in downtown Greenwich, has some suggestions. When Patch stopped by his shop at 100 Bruce Park Ave. on Friday, he was doing a brisk business with customers buying lobsters, soft shell crabs, swordfish, sushi-grade tuna and mahi mahi.
Norado, who sources his fish from New York’s Fulton Fish Market daily, also was ready to share cooking tips with his customers who asked for guidance on everything from grilling their fish to boiling their lobsters. He shares his suggestions with Patch in the accompanying video.
The store is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday (it is closed Memorial Day), and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday. Telephone: 203-869-0462; www.bontonfishmarket.com and www.lobsterscanfly.com.
