Over 1,200 Illicit Drug Products Seized From Greenwich Smoke Shop: PD
An investigation was launched into a Greenwich smoke shop after a concerned citizen reported "suspicious activity," police said.

GREENWICH, CT — Over 1,200 illicit drug products were seized from a Greenwich smoke shop following a several-week investigation into illegal drug activity at the business, according to the Greenwich Police Department.
An investigation was launched into Stateline Smoke Shop on Mill Street after a concerned citizen reported "suspicious activity," police said in an announcement.
"Upon further inquiry, it was confirmed that Stateline Smoke Shop was displaying and selling illicit products that exceeded the legal limits outlined by state law," police said.

Between November 2024 and January 2025, undercover officers conducted several controlled purchases and obtained "various illegal items," police said. A search warrant was executed on Jan. 29 in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP).
"During the execution of the search warrant, investigators seized over 1,200 illicit products, amounting to approximately 28.8 pounds of THC," police said. "Notably, one of the seized items contained 3,000mg edibles, far exceeding the state’s legal limit of 5mg per package. In addition to the drugs, officers confiscated $632 in cash, believed to be linked to the illegal sales."

Police noted that an investigation is ongoing.
"We remain committed to upholding the laws of our state and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community," police said. "This successful operation is a testament to the diligence of our officers and the collaborative efforts of our partners at the Department of Consumer Protection."
