Over 15 Bags Of Heroin Seized, Dealer Arrested: Greenwich Police

Police said the man is accused of buying two "bundles" of suspected heroin in New York and trying to deliver it to a person in Connecticut.

GREENWICH, CT — A Stratford man accused of selling heroin to people in Greenwich was arrested this week, according to police. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the department's narcotics section, police said.

On Monday, officers stopped Alain Bernadel, 41, of Stratford, as he was driving his vehicle. According to police, Bernadel was found to be in possession of two "bundles" of suspected heroin, which he had just purchased in New York and was on his way to deliver to another person in Connecticut.

Officers seized 19 bags of suspected heroin, and Bernadel was arrested on charges of illegal possession, criminal attempt at sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, police said.
