Pantless Man Arrested by Greenwich Police After Fleeing Scene: PD
He claimed that a robber stole just his pants and shoes. The real story is something different, police said.

GREENWICH, CT—Police arrested a New York City man after he fled a motor vehicle accident and claimed to have been robbed, according to police.
An accident occurred on Byram Shore Road Oct. 22 and several witnesses told officers that a man fled the scene.
Chad Seegars, 24, was located about an hour later. He had no pants or shoes. He told officers he was robbed at gunpoint and the robber only took his pants and shoes.

Seegars was determined by officers to be the man who fled the scene and that he lied about being robbed, according to police. The vehicle wasn't registered or insured and Seegars doesn't have a driver's license. He also ran a stop sign.
He was charged with evading responsibility, interfering with police, falsely reporting an incident and several motor vehicle infractions.
