Patient Sues Greenwich Hospital For Alleged Assault: Lawsuit
The man claims that he was the victim of an unprovoked assault by a security guard, according to a lawsuit.

GREENWICH, CT—A former Greenwich Hospital patient is suing the hospital and alleging that a security guard assaulted him before he was involuntarily committed.
Sean Byrne was taken to the emergency unit of the hospital March 19 for a cortisol imbalance that was caused by a brain injury, according to the lawsuit filed in Stamford Superior Court.
Byrne alleges in the lawsuit that he went to close a door to privately explain a young woman's options after he overheard her talking about wanting to leave hospital against medical staff wishes.
