Perfect Provenance To Close In Greenwich

The luxury lifestyle store and cafe located at 47 Arch St. in Greenwich will close next month, the owner said.

GREENWICH, CT — Perfect Provenance, a luxury lifestyle store featuring men's and women's clothing, accessories, home decor, gifts and a full bistro-style cafe founded in Greenwich in 2016, is closing its doors. The last day of service for Cafe 47 will be in the next couple weeks. The store itself will close on or around Aug. 15.

In an email to the community, owner Lisa Lori explained that the business will be moving west to California full-time, where she relocated with her family two years ago. There are currently two store locations in Tiburon and Napa, Calif.

"It all began with an idea -- to bring some of my favorite things from around the world together in one place -- food, fashion, gifts, events, fun and most of all, community. I wanted to share all of the amazing things I love from my long career working in PR, luxury goods, travel and food marketing with my Greenwich friends. After five wonderful years in Greenwich, we have made the difficult decision to make the West Coast our headquarters and close our Greenwich store and Cafe 47," Lori said in her email.

Lori went on to say that managing the business from 3,000 miles away during a pandemic and being unable to visit the store and staff for long periods of time was unsustainable.

"In that time, we realized just how precious our time is and that we now need to be based on the West Coast," Lori said, adding that the decision wasn't easy.

"We are so grateful for all of the incredible support of our friends, clients, fellow business owners, charity partners and more, who held us up and have given us a lifetime of memories," Lori said. "Our building at 47 Arch Street has been so much more to us than a building but a true labor of love, a home where we gathered for celebrations, events, amazing food, Rose All Day, fashion, literature and on and on. The clients who became friends, the staff who became our family is more than I could have ever hoped for."

Lori said she will continue to work with her Greenwich area clientele through private styling, online shopping and seasonal trunk shows. Details on a "Moving West Sale" for any items left in Greenwich will be released this week.

"Thank you again to our clients and friends for all of your wonderful support, it has been our pleasure to work with you," Lori said. "We hope you will continue to support us as we embark on our next chapter."
