Pete Francis To Close Out Greenwich Point 2019 Concert Series

Pete Francis (of Dispatch) and The Dragon Crest Collective will close out the Friends of Greenwich Point summer concert series this weekend.

GREENWICH, CT — Any residents looking to soak up the remaining days of summer are welcome to attend the final Friends of Greenwich Point 2019 concert this weekend, featuring Pete Francis (of Dispatch) and The Dragon Crest Collective. The performance is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Seaside Garden at Greenwich Point.

Residents are invited to bring refreshments and chairs or a blanket and enjoy this free musical event.

"Pete Francis & The Dragon Crest Collective will not disappoint as they conclude the successful series of summer concerts," according to a statement from the organization. "They've been known to deliver juicy rock sets that include poetic lyrics, pure energy, art and solid musicality. Be prepared for a roots rock journey that will leave you feeling good."

The Seaside Garden is located behind the Chimes Building, with parking located before the Old Greenwich Yacht Club. Beach passes are required for the event.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the First Congregational Church at 108 Sound Beach Avenue, across from Binney Park. A change in venue will be emailed out and posted to the organization's website and social media accounts.

Francis, who grew up in Riverside, is a member of the band Dispatch, an indie/roots band famous for songs such as "The General" and "Only the Wild Ones."
