Merrill has spearheaded numerous community engagement projects, educational programs and partnerships aimed at promoting sustainable gardening practices, habitat restoration and local environmental stewardship.
"She believes that even small, intentional actions - like planting a window box garden - can make a significant difference in supporting native pollinators and reversing the decline of these vital species," the Greenwich Conservation Commission said in a news release. "Donna's vision for a more sustainable future is rooted in collaboratio, and she continues to work with schools, community organizations, and municipalities to cultivate a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges facing pollinators and how inividuals can help make a positive impact."
