Porsche, Land Rover Among Vehicles Stolen In Greenwich: PD
All of the recent vehicle thefts have one disturbing thing in common.

GREENWICH, CT — Three vehicles were reported stolen in Greenwich this week, and two others were burglarized, in the latest cases of vehicle crimes called into Greenwich police, according to officials.
And in each of the five cases, the vehicles were left unlocked, and in the incidences of theft, the keys also were left inside, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. All of the incidents occurred during the overnight hours between Nov. 26 and the 28th.
The stolen vehicles were all SUVs: Taken from a home on Tod's Driftway was a 2018 Porsche Mecan GT; taken from a home on Lake Avenue was a 2017 Land Rover Discovery; and taken from a home on Lancer Road was a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox.

As of Thursday morning, none of the vehicles had been recovered, and Greenwich police detectives are continuing the investigations.
"They were stolen from three different parts of town," Slusarz told Patch. "The Tod's Point area in Old Greenwich, the Lake Avenue Mid-Country area, and the North Mianus area for Lancer Road."

The North Mianus area is where the two burglarized vehicles were located, both at separate homes on Rainbow Drive.
An infant's diaper bag was stolen from one vehicle, while sunglasses were reported stolen from the other. Contents in both vehicles were rifled through.
Slusarz urged residents to be careful with their vehicles, particularly at this time of year as people pack their cars with merchandise and presents.
"Remember to lock your vehicles, and take your keys or key fobs with you," he said.
