Portion Of Lake Avenue Closed In Greenwich: UPDATE
A portion of Lake Avenue is closed due to a serious car accident, according to Greenwich Police.

Update, 9:45 a.m., Wednesday
GREENWICH, CT — Police are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred on Lake Avenue Tuesday night.
Police said a 2013 Chevy Suburban was traveling north on Lake Avenue between Round Hill Road and Parsonage Road when it left the roadway and struck a stone wall and tree. The driver, a 52-year-old Greenwich woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lake Avenue between Round Hill Road and Parsonage Road remains closed on Tuesday night due to a police investigation into a serious car accident, according to Lt. John Slusarz of the Greenwich Police Department. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
