Power Outages Hit Greenwich Thursday: Eversource
Heavy winds and snow have knocked out power to several Greenwich Eversource customers.

GREENWICH, CT — About 100 Eversource utility customers in Greenwich were without power at about 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon as the heavy snow storm continued to wind its way through the state.
Greenwich was the hardest hit with power outages of communities in the lower Fairfield County area, but Bethel reported nearly 175 customers without power, according to Eversource.

This Afternoon: Snow. Areas of blowing snow. High near 26. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. Windy, with a northwest wind around 36 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow, mainly before 7pm. Areas of blowing snow. Low around 8. Wind chill values between -10 and zero. Windy, with a northwest wind 28 to 33 mph decreasing to 22 to 27 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday: Areas of blowing snow. Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 13. Wind chill values between -5 and -15. Windy, with a west wind 23 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph.
Friday Night: Patchy blowing snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 3. Wind chill values between -10 and -15. Blustery, with a west wind 18 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph.
Saturday: Sunny and cold, with a high near 13. Blustery, with a northwest wind around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 1.
