Prostitution Arrests Made At Unlicensed Greenwich Massage Parlor

The arrests were in connection with a prostitution investigation in town.

GREENWICH, CT — Two women were arrested by Greenwich police on March 4 in connection with a prostitution investigation involving an unlicensed massage parlor located on South Water Street, according to Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.

The name of the parlor was not disclosed, but authorities said the establishment had been on their radar for an undisclosed period of time. Officers made the arrests at about 8:30 a.m. on the 4th.

"The Greenwich Police Department has been investigating several complaints of an unlicensed massage parlor operating in the western part of Town where prostitution was taking place," Slusarz stated. "The investigation resulted in the arrest of two subjects, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Dorian Mejia, for prostitution."

Additional details were not disclosed, but Greenwich police said officers also found an undisclosed amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Gonzalez's possession.

Gonzalez, 40, of South Water Street in Greenwich, was charged with:

  • Prostitution by a person over 16 years of age
  • Promoting prostitution, second degree
  • Use/possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of hallucinogen/cannabis with intent to sell
  • Possession of a controlled substance/cannabis

Mejia, 42, of Bethpage, NY, was charged with Prostitution by a person over 16 years of age, and was released on a written promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on March 18.

Gonzalez was released after posting bond on bail of $50,000 and is also due in Stamford court on the 18th.
