New Date Announced For Public Meeting On North Street Bridge Replacement Project

After the last inspection on March 7, 2022, the bridge was deemed in critical condition and in need of replacement.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Department of Public Works will hold a public information meeting on April 9 at 6 p.m., in the Town Hall Cone Room to share the preliminary design for the North Street Bridge replacement project. The meeting was previously slated for March 14 but it was rescheduled.

The bridge is located over the West Brothers Brook and was built in 1909 and rebuilt in 1950. After the last inspection on March 7, 2022, the bridge was deemed in critical condition and in need of replacement.

The estimated project cost is $3 million, which is reimbursed by the Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP) grant.
