Public Tree Hearing Scheduled In Greenwich
A hearing is triggered after an objection from the public to a posted tree removal.
GREENWICH, CT — A virtual public tree hearing has been scheduled in Greenwich for Aug. 20 at 11:30 a.m.
One tree - a pin oak - has been noticed for removal at 22 Sound Shore Drive in Cos Cob. A tree hearing is triggered after an objection from the public.
According to the Greenwich Department of Parks & Recreation Parks & Trees Division, the state Department of Transportation is planning to install a new substation and remove the current substation behind the fence.

"The access point with the least amount of disturbance is where the posted tree currently resides," the Parks & Trees Division told Patch in an email. "New landscaping and a new tree will be part of the post installation work."
Greenwich Tree Warden Dr. Gregory Kramer noted there will also be a new retaining wall installed, close to where the tree currently stands.
