Reservations For Picnic, Camping Permits Begin In Greenwich

The parks and recreation department will accept reservations for residents who wish to obtain picnic and overnight camping permits.

The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will accept reservations for residents who wish to obtain picnic and overnight camping permits for the 2021 season beginning Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 8 a.m. (online only).

Residents can register online at www.greenwichct.org.

According to a news release, proofs of residency and settlement of open balances must be provided to Parks and Recreation prior to registration and permit issuance. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Residents are encouraged to login and test account access in advance. If you are a new resident, please visit www.greenwichct.gov/residency to learn more about verifying residency and setting up your online account.

Reservations for overnight island camping include Great Captain Island and Island Beach. Reservations are limited to one night per family per season.

Reservations for Town picnic areas include Bruce Park-Wood Road Picnic Area, Byram Park Clambake Area, Greenwich Point Clambake Area, and the Greenwich Point Cowbarn Area. Reservations are limited to one reservation per family per season.
